Experimental Bass
Techniques
As the bass player of Oblitera, I strive to create a heavy sound with deep bass. I focus on creating a powerful low end with tight grooves and punchy riffs. I use a combination of techniques such as palm muting, finger picking, and slapping to achieve this. I also experiment with different tunings and string gauges to further enhance the sound. My approach is to create a sound that is both aggressive and melodic, while still remaining heavy and low. With these techniques, I can make sure that the band's sound is true to the death metal genre.
